BARESPACE Theatre Company first presented the Broadway Baby hit show back in 2001. Its cool lounge cabaret style, delivered comfortably in a hotel environment, was a hit and Broadway Baby 2 followed. No wonder this smooth and stellar cast has come together again to present the best performances in ‘Song for Syria’ at Limerick Strand Hotel on Tuesday October 22 at 8pm.

This cabaret is staged for different purpose, being an Oxfam fundraiser with a specific emphasis on work in progress in Syria.  Buy your ticket at the Oxfam Shop on 57 William Street or ring 085-7406822 (tickets €15).

“This fantastic show is a tribute to modern musical theatre and will transport you on an express trip through an era of song,” promises PRO Charlotte Eglington.  ”Song for Syria encompasses over 50 years of musicals featuring hits from Showboat, Wicked, Follies, Phantom, My Fair Lady, Martin Guerre, A Chorus Line, Follies, Miss Saigon, Company, A Little Night Music, Merrily we Roll Along and much more.

“Enjoy the wonderful songs of Stephen Sondheim from ‘Being Alive’ to ‘Send in the Clowns’ contrasting with Lerner & Lowe’s ‘I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face’  and ‘Wouldn’t It Be Luverly’”.
