Man killed after he fell from moving car in county Limerick

GARDAI are investigating the death of a man who fell from a moving car on a county Limerick road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old victim who is originally from Limerick but had an address in Tralee, was hit by a car traveling in the opposite direction

The incident, which Gardai are still trying to piece together the full set of circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, occurred on the main N69 road on the Askeaton side of Kildimo at 1am.

A 99 WH registered Toyota Avensis is believed to be the car that was carrying the victim before he was struck by a BMW traveling in the opposite direction.

The BMW driver remained at the scene but the car in which the 31-year-old fell from is understood to have been burnt out in the Kennedy Park area of Limerick city after it fled.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses and the driver of the car that the victim fell from to come forward.
