THREE WEEKS TO CHRISTMAS
Despite the doom and gloom, Christmas will come regardless and I, for one, plan to celebrate like it’s 1999 (literally). Despite what the Celtic Tiger has ingrained into us, it doesn’t actually take a lot of money to have a good time. Christmas is about family and friends, about catching up and looking back. It’s getting so cold it might even snow, I can’t wait!

SHOPS IN TROUBLE
Rumours are rife of closures and let-offs following reports of businesses like Sasha and Barretts downsizing and maybe even closing branches. The recession has all guns blazing at the moment, and nobody it seems is safe from the firing line. Ironically the only thing we can do to help the situation is spend that same money we’re trying not to spend. Lotto anyone?
