Re-engineering Christmas for life

ABUNDANT Life Christian Church at Post Office Lane is to stage a dramatic weekend for the season that’s in it. Christmas Re-Engineered is this year’s production, taking place this Saturday December 20 and Sunday 21 at 7.15pm. The show is a fundraiser for Adapt House.

Christmas Re-engineered, directed by Brent Enget, is a comedy drama showing changes of attitudes about Christmas. Three couples, including a Niles Crane and his wife ‘type’ couple (Frasier),  are getting through the holiday. The setting is in a dining room with food served at Christmas time, there’s room for carols and dance and refreshments are served to the audience during the play.

“As well at a friendly Christmas atmosphere, people will really enjoy the drama and dance and they also contribute to a most worthy local charity, Adapt Services,” says Kevin Fitzgibbon, Minister. “I think people need a break from the commercialism of Christmas. The pace of life today can often distract us from life’s priorities of rest, enjoyment and experiencing the true meaning of this special season. All are welcome to come.”

Tickets for 5euro include tea or coffee.
