Brown Thomas showcases SS09 Collections in aid of Focus Ireland

Mark this date in your diary now girls, it’s a fashion show not to be missed – Brown Thomas Limerick is to showcase its Spring Summer 2009 collections at this year’s season launch, due to take place on Wednesday March 11 instore. Tickets for the event are on sale in the store now priced 40 euro.

All proceeds will go to Focus Ireland which has just been announced as the Brown Thomas Limerick chosen charity of the year.

Focus Ireland marked 10 years of its work to combat homelessness in Limerick last year. In 1998 President Mary McAleese officially opened Focus Ireland’s services at Parnell Place in Limerick, which initially provided 17 homes for people who were formerly homeless and it has provided over 80 homes since then. Store Manager Liam Dwan told the Limerick Post, “Focus Ireland has supported over 300 households in Limerick through their housing and services work to directly combat and prevent poverty and we are proud to support them as our chosen charity of 2009”.

Guests on the evening will be treated to complimentary makeovers while they sip champagne and indulge in delicious canapés before they view an exclusive preview of this season’s spectacular collections.

Former Model and Ireland AM TV Personality, Laura Bermingham will be hosting the evening and will be on hand to offer her expertise on this season’s unrivalled Spring Summer 09 collections from labels such as Max Mara, Moschino Cheap & Chic, DVF and Roland Mouret and new labels to the store such as Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Selected Femme and Elie Tahari.
