WINNERS of the fourth annual University of Limerick (UL) ‘Dragon’s Den’ Medical Device Innovation Showcase have been announced.
The event, sponsored by Edwards Lifesciences, was held on April 15 at UL’s Bernal Institute. NaviCor were announced as the winning team for their project, EchoTrack, which featured an innovative ultra-sound visible catheter tip.
This allows for real-time tracking during procedures, significantly enhancing accuracy and safety.
The event offers an opportunity for three teams of Biomedical Engineering students from the University’s Masters programme (Year 4) to pitch medical device concepts to a distinguished panel of industry and academic leaders.
