Emergency services to be withdrawn

ROUND-the-clock emergency services at Ennis and Nenagh Hospitals are to be withdrawn from Monday.

The HSE and health service unions completed their talks at the Labour Relations Commission over the weekend.

Both sides issued a joint statement following the meeting, which maintains the reconfiguration of the Departments of Emergency Medicine in the Mid-West, will now proceed as planned.

Emergency services are now to be centralised at Limerick Regional Hospital.
