GARDAI are investigating a shooting in which a man in his 20s received a gunshot wound to the shoulder during an attack in Co Limerick.

The incident happened at a house in the Reen’s Pike area of Ardagh at around 4am yesterday morning.

It is understood a number of other occupants were in the house at the time, but were not injured in the shooting. The injured man is recovering in the Mid Western Regional hospital in Dooradoyle.
