Strutt’s Shane Healy spoke to the Limerick Post ahead of the gig. “We have not had an outing since Charles Webster way back in April which was definitely one of our highlights of 2009 along with the Reggae nights. We are really excited about this one with Technasia of Sino records (Asia) headlining the Warehouse, full on Strutt style Techno while Bearweasel (London) will entertain the deeper fans upstairs with a an element of surprise”. WTF is Tech House and Micronite residents Frawl, DiD, Andy and Dan Sykes will all line out for this special night.

Sibi flying direct from Katowice in Poland will play alongside Bad boy Blast in the Warehouse early on. “The night sees three crews from Limerick coming together to throw one massive Christmas party with House, Techno and a night of full on party vibes”, continues Shane.

Technasia, also known as Charles Siegling, is a musician and DJ raised and based in Paris. Until 2008, the group also consisted of other founding member, Amil Khan, raised and based in Hong Kong. After meeting in China during the 90’s, they felt it was time to put South East Asia on the world map of electronic dance music and started their musical duo and label Technasia in 1996. In 2008, Amil quit the duo but remains a very strong input in all label and artist management related issues. Charles is now the sole member of Technasia. Technasia is also known for Charles Siegling’s striking DJ sets as well as unique live acts, performed in solo by Charles Siegling and in the past as a duo with Amil Khan. They have performed at all the top electronic music festivals, events and clubs on the planet. Technasia is also proud to host several club residencies worldwide in high profile venues such as Womb in Tokyo, Nitsa in Barcelona and Rex Club in Paris. Charles and Amil have extended their activities to artist production and label management, conducting executive production through their label Sino and booking management for artists such as Joris Voorn, Renato Cohen, Christian Smith, Steve Rachmad and more recently Dosem. Bearweasel headline room two on the night (Louisa Page and Dean Muhsin|), both with a long history of working in dance music.

They began producing together as Bearweasel in September 2007 when they delivered a remix for Remute’s “Schlund” track to their friends at Perc Trax. Bearweasel followed this with “The Rouen EP” for Supernature, Audiofly’s imprint. Bearweasels music is regularly played by Steve Bug, Akufen, Serafin, K-Soul, D’Julz, Motorcitysoul, 2000AndOne, Jimpster, Audiofly, Steve Lawler, Trickski, Sebo K, Lauhaus, Luke Solomon and Peace Division. “Their sound is rooted in house and techno in their formative years, dub and whatever takes their fancy, so no doubt this will be a great night”, concludes Shane. Doors open at 10pm, tickets are available from Dolans at 12 Euro pre sale and 15 Euro on the night.
