MOTORISTS have been warned to be extremely careful on the roads as the cold conditions continue to make driving dangerous.

Icy conditions remain on roads in many parts of the county, with temperatures dropping to -2C in Limerick overnight.

Throughout the country roads remain hazardous in particular where snow has fallen. Frost has also left many roads extremely dangerous.
