-

With just under two weeks to go to the inaugural Great Limerick Run, in association with the Irish Times,  the organisers are delighted to confirm that they are fast approaching 5,000 entrants for the unique mix of Full Certified Marathon, Half Marathon & 10k runs that will be taking place on the streets of Limerick as part of Riverfest on May 2.

The Great Limerick Run is also holding volunteer evenings on Wednesday and Thursday April 21st & 22nd in City Hall, Limerick  from 7pm to 9pm that will allow those who want to be part of the event but who are not running to get involved in a superb event for Limerick City and County.

Volunteers are required to man water stations, sign in athletes, present goodie bags and medals and much more and each volunteer for the event will be entered into a draw for a weekend away for 2 in the Hilton Hotel, Kilmainham.

For those interested in signing up as a volunteer but who cannot make either of the Volunteer evenings, you can contact the Great Limerick Run office on 061 609 627 for further details.

The Great Limerick Run, in association with the Irish Time is supported by New Balance, Thomond Park Stadium, Shannon Development, Limerick City Enterprise Board, Limerick City Council, Limerick County Council, Limerick City & County Sports Partnerships, O’Donovan Caufield Lavin, Spin South West & Newstalk.   More details available on www.greatlimerickrun.com
