Gardai seize drugs in Kilmallock – two arrested

TWO men have been arrested by gardai in county Limerick after two searches yielded a substantial quantity of drugs.

As part of an ongoing investigating into distribution of illegal drugs in the east Limerick area Gardai from Bruff have seized cocaine and herbal Cannabis with an estimated street value of up to €190,000.

A male aged in his 20s was arrested and a quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of €20,000 following the search of a house in the Kilmallock area, yesterday evening.

In a further search a motor car was stopped also in the Kilmallock area and a quantity of cocaine and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €170.000 discovered. A male also aged in his 20s was arrested.
Both men are currently detained at Bruff Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
