Bishop Noonan also confirmed that he is ready to get to work meeting the needs of the people who make up the 80 parishes of the Diocese of Orlando.

Speaking at his first mass as Bishop in Saint James’s Cathedral, Bishop Noonan dedicated his homily to religion claiming that the word is derived from the Latin word “to bring together.”

Bishop Noonan will formally be installed as the fifth head of Central Florida’s 800,000 member Catholic Church on December 16.
