Limerick Post leads the way

IT would appear that yet again another local publication is incapable of correctly interpreting reports in other media outlets.
The Limerick Post correctly reported in last week-end’s edition that there was no confirmed concert booking for Thomond Park in 2011, following an enquiry made to promoter Peter Aiken’s office.

It has since been brought to our attention by a reader that our report was later ‘rubbished’ on the website of the Scottish owned local publication, which failed to provide any evidence to the contrary.

In fact, Mr Aiken told their website it was “too early to say anything about potential acts,” merely confirming the story carried in the Post.
Maybe Mr Aiken will bring a big act to Thomond Park in 2011 – and we sincerely hope he does – but as we told readers, nothing has yet been confirmed.

The same local publication reported earlier this year that mighty Real Madrid, Netherlands and Denmark were all set to grace Thomond Park in summer, as were pop group Black Eyed Peas.
Summer has passed…..
