Culture of despair

DO not despair about the economy, was the message this week from former Attorney General Peter Sutherland, at the opening of the Kemmy Business School at UL.
“There are many commenting on the present crisis who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, which is creating a culture of despair.

“People forget that there are things we do exceedingly well. “Our youth are looked upon very well internationally, which is important in the global market.
“Employment is currently at 2002 levels, 80% higher than the level in 1992”.
During his lecture entitled ‘Ireland’s Economic Condition,’ he stressed that the December Budget needed to be passed to resolve our immediate financial problems.
“The danger is we will not deal with reform and we will just cut across the board. “We have to translate what we are doing into affective reform and manage our own affairs effectively”. The Kemmy Business School contains a stimulated Trading Floor that is globally connected through a Thomson-Reuters licence.
