GARDAÍ are investigating the discovery of four bodies at a house in Newcastle West.
Two adults and two children were found in the house before 2pm on Tuesday, after gardaí were contacted by a member of the public.
The children were a three year old boy and a five month old girl.
The area has been sealed off pending a forensic examination and a post mortem is currently underway.

A 31 year old man was arrested in Kilkee and is being held at Henry Street Garda Station.
