Limerick face Longford in Airtricity League

-

AFTER last week’s 1-0 loss to Cork City at Turner’s Cross, Limerick now have a full set of results. One win, one loss and one draw, from their three games.
With Longford Town coming to Jackman Park this Friday night (kick off 7.45pm) the SuperBlues will be looking to turn good performances into wins.

Speaking ahead of this week’s tie, Limerick manager Pat Scully feels that this weekend will be a real test against a strong Longford side.

“Longford Town have started the season well. I have seen Longford twice in recent weeks and they’re a decent team with a good attitude. It’s a great boost to have Pat Purcell and Corey Tracey back available and hopefully one or two little injuries will clear up. When we have a full squad, we will have real competition for places, which will give the players good motivation to perform and win matches.” commented Scully.
With Dave Ryan out for 6-7 weeks with a fractured foot, Gary Sheehan out for 16-19 weeks with a broken leg and Thomas Lyons out for 3-4 weeks with angle ligament damage, Limerick will be looking to use their squad depth to secure the much needed early season points this weekend.
With Shane Tracey and Peter Hynes impressing so far this season, Limerick FC fans will be expecting another good performance this weekend and of course, a win.
