New series announced for Ford Focus

AHEAD of its arrival in Ireland in early April, Ford Ireland has announced the model line up for the eagerly awaited all-new Ford Focus. The range is comprised of four series from the entry-level Focus, Focus Style, Zetec and top of the range Titanium. The range is available in a three-model line-up of sporty 5-door hatchback, sleek 4-door saloon and stylish 5-door wagon.

When it was introduced in 1998, the original Ford Focus brought new levels of agility and responsiveness to the C segment. The new Focus will again raise the benchmark, targeting class-leading driving quality that blends outstanding steering precision and road feedback with significantly improved refinement and ride control.
Thanks to new features such as an advanced Torque Vectoring Control system fitted as standard, new Focus has enhanced cornering stability and agility. This technology has, up to now, typically only been available on premium sports vehicles.  In addition, the all-new Focus uses a completely new Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS) system, which plays a key role in delivering a more dynamic driving experience.
The range of engines for new Focus offers the 1.6 TDCi 95PS and 115PS Band A diesel (with fuel efficient Auto-Start-Stop technology); 1.6 VCT 105PS and 125PS Band B petrol and 2.0 TDCi 115PS 6-speed Powershift automatic Band B.
Our Ford main dealers locally are Lyons of Limerick, Ballysimon Road; Sheils on the Ennis Road; Cavanagh’s of Charleville and Dan Dooley, Tipperary and Knocklong.
