International dance duo to perform at the Coach House as part of Twilight Thursday series
A LIVE Argentinian tango performance will take place at 8pm on Thursday April 30, at the Coach House of the People’s Museum of Limerick, No. 2 Pery Square, as part of the popular Twilight Thursday Limerick series.
Tango at Twilight will feature internationally acclaimed dance duo MarÃa Victoria Fuentes and Lucas Galera, joined by Alice Abreu on violin and Mark P O’Connor on piano, in what promises to be an atmospheric and elegantly staged evening in one of Limerick’s most distinctive heritage settings.
Fuentes and Galera have been working together since 2016 and have been based in Italy since 2018, where they have taught at some of the country’s most respected tango institutions, including the Accademia Romana del Tango and La Gardel di Roma in Rome, as well as A.S.D. Mariana Montes Tango Club in Cagliari and El Tango del Centro in Abruzzo.
Over the course of their career, the duo have performed at international festivals including Tango to Rome, Roma Tango Festival, Roma Tango Fiesta, Catania Summer Tango Week, and the Planetango Winter Festival in Moscow.
