O’Dea alarmed as Receivers are appointed to Superquinn

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation Willie O’Dea TD has expressed his shock and disappointment at the news that Receivers have been appointed to the Superquinn chain.
Deputy O’Dea said:  “This is very alarming news and will come as a huge shock to the workers.  My immediate thoughts are with them and their families this evening.

“I welcome the fact that the company will continue to trade at this difficult time.”

“The Superquinn chain has been a cornerstone of the Irish grocery sector for over 50 years.  I hope the company will continue to operate and that its large workforce across the country can be maintained.  I look forward to hearing from the Receivers involved as soon as possible to hear their analysis of Superquinn’s future prospects.”
