LIMERICK Sports Partnership (LSP) has announced the launch of five new FitSticks Activator walking trails across Limerick.
The trails are aimed at providing local communities with new and accessible ways to improve their health, wellbeing, and physical activities. LSP said the trails are suitable for both activator and Nordic walking.
The new trail network has been developed in Limerick City at O’Brien Park, the Riverbank-Canal Bank, Shelbourne Park, and Mungret Park, as well as at Castle Demesne in Newcastle West.
The trails combine walking with specially designed poles, helping people engage both the upper and lower body while walking.

They also include guided exercises designed to support balance, mobility, strength, and confidence.
