Mercury Music Prize Shortlist Announced

The 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize nominations were announced last Tuesday. The Mercury Prize is widely viewed as being such a credible award, it can shine a very bright light on the nominees and on new talent in particular. Selected from album releases by UK artists, winning the prize or being merely nominated can have a huge effect of on album sales.
