Kids don’t like Indie

Limerick’s Dead Red Light is releasing a debut EP called ‘Kids Don’t Like Indie’ on August 26. The band has had a busy summer making serious headway on the festival circuit, getting to rub shoulders and share stages at The Sea Sessions with the likes of BellX1 and Villagers.

The band also scored the opening slot for the recent FMC tour where Dead Red Light played with critic’s favourites O Emperor, Adebisi Shank and Heathers. Dead Red Light say that the debut EP promises to incorporate “throw-backs to grunge in a post indie/alternative concoction entwined with clever lyrics and social stabs in a typical DRL fashion.”
The previous single ‘We Waste Ourselves’ has raised expectations for the trio and the new EP is eagerly anticipated here at the Limerick Post music desk.
DRL have also been confirmed to play the Limerick show for the upcoming IMRO showcase tour this September with Jefl & Hyde, Moscow Metro, Tenaka and The Hip-Neck Blues Collective.
