Drama Workshop for Macra
ENTHUSIASTS of amateur, and indeed professional, drama who are members of Macra na Feirme might interest themselves in a 2012 workshop. ‘Dramatic Choices’ will be a workshop designed for Macra na Feirme members who would like to develop such skills and talent.

The workshop will cover selection for, participation in and competing in Macra’s Drama competition. Places are limited to 20 for ‘Dramatic Choices’. It will take place on Sunday January 8 in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel in Co. Laois. You can email tcooke@macra.ie for more information.

Writer Kevin Egan launched an affectionate memoir of his life lived  in Limerick, ‘I Remember Well’, at Leamy’s art gallery and Frank McCourt Museum. The 75-year-old calls it “a nostalgic boyhood recollection of not only a Limerick, but also an Ireland, long since gone”.

Revival’s new editor is King
LIMERICK Writers’ Centre reports that Noel King will be the poetry editor of Revival Literary Journal for the next four issues.
Noel King is a writer, actor and musician, a native of Tralee. His poetry, haiku, short stories, articles and reviews have appeared in publications in over 30 countries and journals as diverse as Poetry Ireland Review, The Sunday Tribune and Bongos of the World (Japan).
Along the way he has been a singer with the  Bunratty Castle Entertainers and has worked as an arts administrator and as a poetry editor. King’s first collection, from Salmon Poetry, is called ‘Prophising the Past’ and was published in 2010.
Submissions are being accepted for Revival Literary Journal Issue 22, which will be published March 2012.
