Whistleblower hotline launched

-

Risk Management International, the Irish-based international specialists in strategic and operational risks and investigations, has launched Whistleblower Confidential.
This new free service will provide a safe and secure channel for concerned citizens to report important sensitive information and know that it will be acted upon in a professional and responsible manner.
The Whistleblower Confidential service is open to anybody who fears that, by reporting their concerns through the normal channels, it may result in them being victimised and their future being put at risk.

The relevant information can be provided anonymously, through an agreed code word system or by giving their personal details. Confidentiality is guaranteed, the information will be thoroughly evaluated and acted upon appropriately.
Former Assistant Garda Commissioner Tony Hickey said: “the RMI Whistleblower Confidential service is unique as it has the backing of a team of highly experienced and trained personnel many of whom are former Garda and Military Investigators. Since its foundation in 1993 RMI has investigated hundreds of cases in which they have gathered information, evaluated it and helped clients treat the risks which had the potential to destroy reputation and value.”
The Chairman of RMI, Peadar Duffy, announcing the establishment of Whistleblower Confidential, said: “for a multitude of reasons, some historical, many people have preferred to remain silent when confronted with wrongdoing. However, given our current economic plight and recent history, this has changed. People are now much more likely to come forward”.
