Limerick FC’s Premier return to be televised

-

LIMERICK FC will make their return to Premier Division football in front of the RTE cameras after the broadcaster confirmed it would show live coverage of the fixture against Cork City at Thomond Park.

The match will now take place on Sunday March 10 and kick off at 5:15pm.

The fixture had initially been pencilled in for the previous Friday, when the Airtricity League season kicks off, but in an updated 2013 fixture list revealed last week the match was moved to the Saturday of that weekend and it has now been rescheduled once more.

RTE’s coverage of the 2013 Airtricity League season begins with the Munster derby at Thomond Park and the broadcaster has announced two other games for live TV coverage in the opening month of the season – Shamrock Rovers v St Patrick’s Athletic on Friday March 15 at 7:35pm and Shelbourne v Shamrock Rovers on Sunday March 24 at 3:55pm.
