5-6-13 Castletroy College  Leaving CertAS the leaving and junior certificate students embark upon two weeks of exams covering some 70 subjects throughout both cycles, we posted best wishes to all and thanks for bringing the sun.

Some 15 of the last 20 years have recorded at least three sunny days at the start of the State exams and Paulette @lollyroche suggests that “maybe they should put the desks outside for them”.

In response to last week’s Garda warning following a number of muggings in Limerick where women were targeted;

On email, Tom Murphy writes; “Men can be victims of muggings too. Stop sucking up to the matriarch”.

Cian Kelly hopes that “shops follow the brave lead to take the Irish Examiner off the shelves”.

Tom Brennan says that local media is doing an “A1 job to make our city look good yet the examiner bring us down”.

Christopher Duffy, on the other hand, writes that “it’s incredible to think that the people of Limerick are still so uber-sensitive when it comes to such things”.
