RUGBY Legend Paul O’Connell has confessed to not bending on one knee when he proposed to his future wife. But it wasn’t for lack of chivalry, the second row had a knee injury! Paul and his longterm girlfriend Emily O’Leary will marry in an intimate ceremony in Toulouse France on July 27. Speaking on RTE radio he explained: “We went for a picnic with Paddy and I had a knee injury at the time, so I didn’t go down on one knee, which I regret really because everyone asked then subsequently did I and I said, ‘I didn’t really’.”. Paul popped the question last June, while the couple were enjoying a family day out in the Curragh Chase woods with their three-year-old son. “We’re really looking forward to it,” said O’Connell.
