Hospital fire being brought under control

Fire brigade units are fighting a fire at University Hospital Limerick that broke out at 6.45pm on the roof of one of the hospital laboratories.
Visitors were told to leave the hospital. The paediatric unit, which is close to the source of the fire, was evacuated and 14 children were moved to other areas of the hospital.
The emergency department also had to be cleared for a short time, but patients are now being brought back for treatment.
