DO you know where Culture Factory is, host venue to Argentinean spectacular ‘Fuerza Bruta’ staging in Limerick from Thursday March 13 to Saturday 22?

Head to the converted Dell building off Plassey Road, Castletroy for the 13-strong suite of 7pm and 9pm performances. You’ll see why  ‘Fuerza Bruta’ has toured the world several times since launched in 2006 in Buenos Aires by this multi, multi award-winning company.

Culture Factory’s girded iron roof and 300,000 square footage are essential backdrop for the “pulsating beats of this physical and visual extravaganza” created by Diqui James.

Expect to reach for descending pools filled with cloud-bursting waterbabes, dance to Latin disco arcades, duck from dancers that swing from the stars and yearn to be one of the audience air jetted up to a trampoline perspex 9ft overhead.

The act, called The Bubble,  raises a  see-through billowing ceiling that hosts performers and participants on the other side as they seek to balance on this restless sea.   It brings to mind what Dean Martin once said: “You are not really drunk until clinging to the floor”.

Completing the experience for the stand-up audience, Limerick’s Culture Factory will have a separate covered village of hot and cold food and drink stalls, culled from the best of local artisans.

See http://limerickcityofculture.ie for tickets at €28 and €20.

P.S. Suitable for eight years and over; mobility is an issue as the crowd is required to surge around to be circled and swooped on  by aerialist dervishes.

Congratulations are in order also to two Limerick Post winners to competition tickets to this March spectacular – Aisling Carr and Kieran O’Halloran are in for a rollercoaster ride with a set of tickets each.
