HOMEOWNERS are being warned that there is no such division as the “Anti Social Behaviour Unit” attached to Limerick City or County Council after a man called to a home on the South Circular Road claiming that he was inspecting for squatters.
Gardai have confirmed that they are investigating complaints that people are calling to homes claiming to be from the local authority’s tenancy office.
Gardaรญ and Limerick local authority officials are advising the public that while there is a unit of the โanti-social behaviourโ unit, all staff members from the city and county council will carry official identification should they call to any private residence inquiring about squatters.
