THE Fairgreen Service Station on the Ballysimon Road which ceased trading two weeks ago is set to re-open this weekend under new management and with an expanded workforce.

Fine Gael local election candidate for Limerick City East, Sarah Lee Kiely, who had several meetings with staff in recent weeks has revealed that employment will now continue at the service station.

“I know that local people in the area will be very relieved to hear that the service station will be open again. It is a very important amenity for that part of Limerick and people had voiced their fears to me that they could be left without it,” said Ms Kiely.

“I am very happy that a new lease holder has been found so quickly. This means that employment will continue at the service station, which to me is absolutely crucial.  I understand that the new lease-holder will be expanding staff numbers at the service station, and this is something that I am very pleased about,” she concluded.
