PRESIDENT of Ireland, Michael D Higgins will receive the Freedom of Limerick next Monday, September 29 at 1pm in the Milk Market.
Accompanied by his wife Sabina, the President will be guest of honour at the ceremony which will hear addresses by political leaders, councillors and senior local authority officials.
Conn Murray, Chief Executive, will officially read the official Certificate of Freedom and Councillor Kevin Sheahan is to present it to the President.
The President is set to address the guests having received the Certificate of Freedom of Limerick and there will be a performance by Micheál O’ Súilleabháin and guests.
