OFFALY funnyman Neil Delamere spoke to Limerick Post recently about his upcoming stand-up show in Limerick. He can be heard all this week in the mid-morning slot on Today FM filling the airtime vacated by Ray D’Arcy before Christmas. Delamere has filled in for many shows on Today FM over the years but this current stint will be his biggest challenge yet,
He told Limerick Post, “Ray D’Arcy did an amazing job and for 15 years it was the biggest show on that station. We should all watch this space. Whoever does get it has a massive challenge ahead.”
Neil is relishing the challenge of being in the mid-morning hot seat this week and was full of praise for the support he has received from the radio station.
He says, “Today FM a great place to work, very supportive, up to date and cutting edge.”
Neil’s new stand up show is called The Fresh Prince of Delamere. The show is a reflection about what’s been happening in Delamere’s world in the last year.
Expect free tips including honeymoon etiquette, appropriate machine gun usage and “how to get 400 euro cash out of a petrol station owner.”
Neil Delamere’s Fresh Prince of Delamere plays at University Concert Hall on Saturday January 24.
