LIMERICK singer/ songwriter and O’Malley-in-Chief Peter Donnelly has released a new song called ‘If Jesus had a Notion’. Peter explains that his song is “not about picking sides in the great religious debate, just wondering if either or all exist, why don’t they turn up at any of my gigs?”
The song comes with his self drawn video which perfectly follows the ebb and flow of the song. Peter told Limerick Post that he used, “ one of those kids drawing games, on my tablet and just recorded it on a camera.”
The song is home recorded, almost live and asks a few pertinent questions about the world we live in today right from the opening lines,
“If Jesus loves a tryer, why is there no disciples at my gigs. If the Devil loves some hot guitar, he don’t show it when I play those pretty licks.”
Peter heads to mainland Europe on tour in February.
