FIANNA Fáil members in Limerick City last night selected Willie O’Dea to contest the next general election in the constituency.

More than 250 members gathered for a packed convention in the Strand Hotel, chaired by Sean Fleming TD. Deputy O’Dea was unopposed.

Afterwards he commented, “I am honoured to be chosen once again by the organisation to go forward as a candidate for the upcoming General Election. This is a tremendously important election for the whole country, and especially for Limerick City, where people see no benefit from the recovery that Government repeatedly tells us is underway.”
