Limerick is cheap date for Valentine’s

And while Dublin is best avoided if money is scarce, there’s good news for romancing couples in the Treaty city this weekend. A typical Valentine’s Day date of dinner for two, cinema tickets and a short taxi ride home costs Irish couples an average of €82. The cost of dating analysis of Ireland’s five largest cities revealed that Dublin is the most expensive place for a night out at an estimated €89.55, followed by Galway at €86.81; Waterford at €84.60 and Cork at €82.45. Limerick is the best low cost dating venue by nearly €20 at €64.75.
