THE Wednesday suite of free lunchtime concerts at St Mary’s Cathedral continues at 1.15pm most weeks in the month. This year’s calendar organised by The Companions of St Mary’s Cathedral opens on Wednesday February 25 with Shannon Golf Club Choir and as ever, the recital is free.

There will be a ‘retiring’ collection to help with the regular music programme here for all communities.

Looking to next month, on Wednesday March 4, Moira Gray and Geoffrey Pratley play a piano duet, while on the following Wednesday March 11, student from Villiers School Leaving Certificate year will offer a varied programme.

On March 18, soprano Helen Houlihan will be accompanied by Irina Dernova on piano, while organist Peter Barley has gathered a recital for Holy Week, led by Ridout’s Stations of the Cross.
