LIMERICK Musical Society promises “one hell of a musical” in its 2015 choice of ‘The Witches of Eastwick’. This vibrant morality tale thata is derived from a John Updike novel will run from Thursday March 26 to Saturday 28 with glamorous leads.

The show was cast before Christmas; rehearsals increased in pace and demand since January so expect a top class show from AIMS winning Limerick Musical  Society.

Essentially the so called Witches are no coven but ordinary decent criminals, sorry, women, who are “frustrated and bored by their mundane lives. They have a shared longing and desire for ‘all manner of man in one man’ who comes to life in the form of a charismatic stranger, a devil-like character, Darryl Van Horne.

“Seducing each of the women in turn Darryl teaches them how to further expand the powers locked within, though their new unorthodox lifestyle scandalises the town”.

Let the games begin. Dave Griffin is the bold boy; Sinead O’Sullivan, Laura Henebry and Rebecca Ballinger are principals alongside Judy O’Connor and Adrian Egan. www.uch.ie for early booking over the three nights.
