ONE of Ireland’s most renowned actors, Des Keogh, fulfils a life-long ambition to play legendary Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw when he takes to the stage in ‘My Fair Ladies’ at Southill Area Centre next Tuesday, May 19 at 8pm. Celebrating his 80th birthday this year, Des will perform in this hugely entertaining new play about the many ladies in the extraordinary life of one of the greatest scribes. Author of ‘Pygmalion’, which became the smash-hit film ‘My Fair Lady’, Shaw shares anecdotes about the loves of his life and elaborates on his forth right views on marriage and celibacy.
