GAA – Travel information for Tyrone versus Limerick on Sunday

Screen shot 2015-06-23 at 16.53.48OVER THE weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June, a number of events will be taking place in Omagh which will pose a significant challenge to the general traffic flow around Omagh Town.  The All Ireland National Cycling Championships will be taking place in Omagh which will involve some closure to town centre roads between 10.00 – 15.00 hrs.

Following immediately after this event on Sunday 28th June will be the All Ireland Football Qualifier between Tyrone and Limerick (Healy Park, Omagh @ 16.00hrs).  As the cycling event will not be finished until 15.00hrs availability to parking close to Healy Park will not be accessible until after 15.00hrs.

Police ask GAA supporters take cognise of this fact and plan their journey around arriving into Omagh no earlier than 15.00hrs. The precincts within 1/2 mile of Healy Park are substantially out of action until after 15.00hrs, as well as the town centre and A5 in the Greater Omagh area.
