GAAGO, the GAA and RTÉ’s online streaming service for Gaelic Games outside of Ireland, this week welcomed Etihad Airways on board as sponsor of its international live streaming of the GAA Championship 2015.

GAAGO is live streaming over 45 GAA Football & Hurling Senior Championship matches worldwide throughout the summer (25+ in GB), plus the concluding stages of the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Championships and the Bord Gais Energy GAA Hurling U21 Championship Final. The Sunday Game, RTÉ’s flagship highlights and analysis programme, is also available live worldwide.

Etihad Airways will sponsor GAAGO’s coverage of all matches throughout the summer, which will be streamed to Gaelic Games fans internationally as a part the service in 2015.

To celebrate this sponsorship announcement, customers of GAAGO will receive a 20% discount on a Season Pass, GB Pass or any of this weekend’s programmes when purchasing using the Promo Code ETIHAD, before the end of June.

Speaking at the launch Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad Airways’ General Manager Ireland, said, “Etihad Airways is delighted to once again work alongside the GAA, our partner of seven years, and RTÉ as sponsor of this season’s Championship coverage on GAAGO. The service has revolutionised the viewing of GAA games around the world and now, for the first time, fans can also watch the all important Sunday Game live each weekend. Throughout our partnership with the GAA, Etihad Airways has used innovation to bring the action to GAA fans around the world, which included last year’s screening of both the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final and replay live on board our flights.”

Dónal Moriarty, Product Leader, GAAGO said, “We are delighted to welcome on board such a global player in the aviation industry as sponsor of our 2015 GAA Championship coverage. Not only does Etihad Airways offer us access to its many customers who are GAA fans all over the world, but as a major supporter of Gaelic Games, this sponsorship of our GAA Championship coverage represents a great fit for the GAAGO brand which is going from strength to strength.”

Noel Quinn, Media Rights Manager, GAA said, “This support from Etihad Airways represents another vote of confidence in what is fast becoming an indispensible service for GAA fans outside Ireland. And when you combine the support that Etihad continues to give to Gaelic Games with the number of fans either travelling or living abroad during the Championship season, we couldn’t ask for a more appropriate sponsor of this great service.”

This latest initiative sees an expansion in the relationship between the GAA and Etihad Airways, who also sponsor the GAA Hurling championship, the GAA World Games and the Etihad Skyline at Croke Park. Etihad Airways have partnered with the GAA since 2008.

Games on GAAGO are streamed in full HD and include commentary, scores, and studio programming as broadcast to audiences in Ireland. Subscribers can view the games online on almost any internet-enabled device including mobile phones, tablet devices and laptops.

A worldwide GAAGO Season Pass (suitable for fans outside Ireland and Great Britain) is priced at €160 and provides online access to over 100 televised matches, live and on-demand, as broadcast by RTÉ, TG4, Setanta and Sky Sports, plus 20 episodes of The Sunday Game highlights show.

For audiences in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), a GB Pass is priced at €100 and will provide online access to over 80 matches, live and on-demand, as broadcast by RTÉ, TG4 and Setanta, plus 20 episodes of The Sunday Game highlights show.
