The Minister explained that stations set for funding injections include Abbeyfeale, which is set for refurbishment works, while the Garda station in Adare is in line for a complete fabric upgrade of station.
Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick City will get cell refurbishment works, the Minister said. The station will also benefit from the Garda National ICT Infrastructure Upgrade Programme to facilitate roll out of Body Worn Cameras by An Garda SÃochána.
The Minister said that the commencement dates for works are subject to final sign-off on design, funding, and operational requirements of An Garda SÃochána.
