Tailor Birds to play Limerick Milk Market

TAILOR Birds are duo Sophia Kinston and Rick Van Der Ree. The pair were united for this musical project when Australian born Sophia Kinston met electronic producer Rick van der Ree
(ElectRick) in Amsterdam in 2008. Combining the old and the new Kinston’s electric violin is at the core of their sound. Electronics, percussion and “some crazy sounds/beats” from Van Der Ree help shape the other worldly experience that is Tailor Birds.
In 2012 they recorded ‘Runaway Sailors, Stay at Home Wives’, Tailor Birds first full-length album. Claiming influences from Kid Totem and Sigur Ros to Talking Heads, the duo’s live appearances are where the “music, the energy, the passion, and the artistry of Tailor Birds truly comes alive.”
Tailor Birds play Limerick Milk Market on Sunday August 16 at 1pm, admission is free.
