THE BIG game on last weekend turned out to be a one-sided affair as Pike Rovers eased passed Geraldines on a four nil score-line. Cian Collins (2), Steve McGann and Wayne Colbert were on the score-sheet for the Hoops in their big win.
Also in the Munster Junior Cup, Nenagh kept their winning run intact by seeing off Dromore Celtic with six nil goals from Ryan Gillmartin (2), Roy Cregh, Brian McGee, Francis Munsterberg and Mike O`Gorman.
The Geraldines B side also exited the Munster Junior Cup, losing to Hill Celtic, with the winner’s goals coming from Dylan Robinson (2), Kamil Krayanch, David Sheehan and Dean Mitchell.
Aisling Annacotty B ousted Granville by the odd goal in five as Evan Quinlivan, Damien Collins and Barry Madden all scored for the victors.
Premier side Mungret-Regional advanced seeing off St Pats with a 3-1 win. Bryron Fitzgerald (2) along with Keith McNicholas were the goal-getters.
In a seven goal thriller, Coonagh edged out Cappamore 4-3 while Caherconlish also advanced seeing off Castle Utd 2-1.
In the Champions Cup, Janesboro got the better of Tralee Dynamos winning four nil as Oisin McMenamin, Aaron Nunan and Shane Clarke netted two.
In the Limerick Premier league, Carew Park went top of this league with a slender one nil home victory over Ballynanty. The only goal of the game being scored by Tom Culhane
The highlight on this coming Sunday is the F.A.I Junior Cup as it takes centre stage with the stand-out fixture seeing Fairview host Geraldines at 2pm in the Fairgreen.
