LIMERICK band Cruiser are Steve Savage (Drums/Muscle), Chris Quigley (Lead Guitar/Brains) and Ger Devine (Vocals/Guitar/Wildcard). In their own words the trio are making, “weird punk-influenced noisy sort-of-pop.”
Whatever it is called, it definitely sounds good, On new track ‘Pinner’ drums and guitars crash and beat a fine pop song into submission, it is addictive stuff and will have you hitting the repeat button again.
The band have a video for previous release ‘Dickhead/Crash’. Film from their recording session in Music Hub Studios, Limerick is mixed with some footage of Jean Claude Van Damme. See it now before Van Damme’s lawyers catch up. The trio also have a “seasonal” punk cover version of Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ on Bandcamp that is worth a listen, at least once.
