LIMERICK teenagers are being called on to sign up for a massive clean-up of the city and county on March 25 next.

Thirteen-year-old Castletroy student Luke Culhane who created an anti-cyberbullying campaign through his video #CreateNoHate is now urging his peers to sign up to Team Limerick Clean-up2 (TLC2).

The teenager, who signed up to TLC2 this week along with his parents Dermot and Claire and his brother Leo and sister Grace, said he was delighted to be part of such an initiative. Luke and his family are now part of 10,000 plus volunteers that have signed up to clean-up the city and county on Good Friday.

“To me being part of a team is really important, whether that is in tackling cyber bullying or litter. I am already spreading the word among my friends and neighbours to sign-up and be part of a really good event like TLC2,” Luke explained.

“I plan to make my own video on the day around Castletroy and hope it will inspire people to keep their own neighbourhood and towns litter free for the entire year,” he added.
