* CENTRAL Buildings at 51a O’Connell Street:

Limerick Art Society is launching a charity visual art exhibition with works by its members. Proceeds are to ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services, refuge and education centre at Rosbrien. Opened by collector George Stacpoole from Thursday April 21, 6pm to May 5.

At least 40 painters with at least one work each will donate 20% of sales to ADAPT, 5% to the Society.

 * LIMERICK City Gallery of Art,  Pery Square: Occupied throughout until mid-May by  EVA International, under the centenary theme of  post-colonial Ireland, ‘Still (The) Barbarians’. Curated by Koyo Kouoh.

Sharing sites at The Sailor’s House, Cleeve’s Factory, King John’s Castle, Mother Macs and The Hunt Museum. Until July 17.

* ADARE Heritage Ctre: ‘Duelling Brushes’ is a joint show of paintings by established artists Margaret Ray and Tomás O Maoldomhniaigh. For April.

* HUNT Museum, Patrick Street: New show ‘Limerick and the 1916 Rising’, Daly Collection of letters depicting activities of this Limerick family post-executions. To May 15.

The museum is a site for EVA International for 12 weeks, ‘Still (The) Barbarians’.

Also the 19th annual exhibition by 2nd year LSAD students, ‘Purge’, opens this Thursday April 21, 6pm. Until May 22.

* LSAD, Clare Street: ‘SYMBOLS’ is a group, collaborative work project funded by Europe. Irish and international students feature.
