Through the gates; a professional training and development opportunity

AS PART of the artist development initiative Belltable:Connect, management of the venue Belltable and Fishamble: The New Play Company have come together to offer a 10-month mentoring programme for playwrights and directors.

This is to support the development of emerging and established playwrights and directors who would benefit from a mentoring process – to investigate and enhance their practice.

The site is, of course, Belltable at 69 O’Connell Street over a series of ten Saturday mornings (10am – 1pm) from September 2016 until June 2017.

Participants will discuss their current and future projects, explore the role of the playwright/ director, and be mentored through challenges that face them. A work-in-progress showcase may be presented towards the end of the year, as appropriate.

The Playwrights’ Mentoring Programme will be led by Gavin Kostick, Fishamble’s literary officer and an award winning playwright. The Directors’ Mentoring Programme will be led by their award winning artistic director, Jim Culleton. More detail on ww.limetreetheatre.ie, venue manager.
