UCH has a musically, visually and socially splendid night to declare on Tuesday June 7, 8pm.

Recreating the romance and the glamour of Venetian soirées, ‘A Night in Venice’ will embrace operatic arias and duets from Verdi, Puccini and Rossini. This elegant world is one of elaborate costumes, masked balls and society bustle, a feast for the eyes and ears.

The singing stars are Jonathan Ansell and Maria Kesselman (BBC2’s Friday Night is Music Night) and introducing us to Li Li. She’s a UK soprano and winner of the Mario Lanzo and Ashleyan Opera prizes.

With music performed by the European Baroque Ensemble, it features world class opera singers performing arias from the grand operas of the day such as La Donna a Mobile, Nessun Dorma, O Mio Babbino Caro, Vissi d’arte, Quando Men Vo:  From Operas including Tosca, Aida, Madam Butterfly, Turandot, La Traviata, La Boheme and more.
